Spr 310

Was just wondering if anyone has the SPR 310, and what opinions you might have. My neighbor bought one and decided it didn't fit him correctly. He is left handed. I told him to give me a price. I,ve shot the gun a couple of times, enough to know I think I would put a new recoil pad on it. It is a 2005 model. Shot very little. How is the quality and dependability of this gun.

I got one and found the stock dimensions identical to my wingmaster. Since that fits me well, the 310 does also. I have been shooting it for about 4 months regularly (even today with temperature of 9F and 20 mph breeeze) at skeet and trap with no problems. Only thing I did was to file off the very sharp edges on the extractor/ejectors. I saw another guy with one lay his finger really open on those. I checked mine and found they were really sharp.

Try this link and be sure to read all of the posts to see the differing opinions. My son's 310 is still going strong.

Thanks for the input. I haven't checked any shelf prices, the neighbor wants 550.00 for his. He purchased a few extra choke tubes for it but he said he didn't have the box or paper work of any kind. Do you think I can do better?

You can beat that price if you have a Dick's Sporting Goods near you. The Spartans already come with four chokes in the box. You can get one new in the box for the same as that guy wants for his. Make the store show you several to pick the one out that has the type wood you like.
We shortened the ejector springs for my son's 310, and also disabled the automatic safety for trap shooting. Both were easy to do and did not negatively affect the function of the shotgun. They also make a clay sport version of the 310 for additional $$$.
Good Luck!

Remington lists a MSRP of $581 for the blue/walnut version including 4 choke tubes. That means you might be able to buy a brand new one for less than the price he wants.

Download the catalog from: http://www.cdnninvestments.com/index.html
Buy a Winchester or something on clearance.

Dick's has them every week for $399. Take your pick from their stock. They usually have a dozen or so to pick from. Go early before the crowd gets in and the clerks are more likely to give you your pick.
