From MSNBC quoting a Lt. Col Russell on snatching one of Sadam's body guards and his resisting arrest:

“Were we surprised? He’s a bodyguard. That’s why we went in with our steely knives and oily guns,” Russell said. “If everything else had failed and we just got that one guy, we would be happy.”

I'll have to remember that steely knives and oily guns phrase.

I read that story also and I thought that part sounded weird. Why do people have to talk like that? He sounded like an idiot to me.

Eh, doesn't bother me. The guys in a war zone doing a tough high stress job. If I were in his position, I probably would also be super gung ho (but also careful). Sounds also like he's playing up to the reporter.

Don't worry, he WILL be punished. I betcha that tape will be used against him at every party, dinner, and reunion he attends for the rest of his life. He probably already has at least one new nickname.:D
