Anyone good with unusual repairs?

I just took apart a S&W .38 a little over 30 years old to see what I could see. I noticed the rebound slide spring had been cut, and as I lifted the trigger out, I was unpleasantly surprised at how easy it was because the trigger post was broken off. Anyone ever done this repair on their own?

I think you are going to need to send it to the factory.

I had that happen to a S&W thirty years ago. You cannot fix it yourself. The factory has to fix that problem.

Give Jon Tank a call at 402.727.1317 and ask him about it. If S&W sells the parts, he can do the work.

I repaired a trigger stud years ago. It was a pain, was press fit and silvered in.
On my 27-2 the pin went all the way through the frame, so a polish and reblue was needed.
