What would stop you from getting all the handguns that you want?
(You can vote for as many as apply.)

There are a lot of handguns that I want, but unfortunately my bank account is not big enough. I might not shoot all of them a lot, but that doesn't mean that I don't want them. I also put the federal government, because they always seem to be standing in my way.

I have to vote my bank account. My eye for fine firearms greatly exceeds the depth of my pockets.

Given my druthers, I'druther have one of each. Fiscal constraints, however, have caused me to focus in on S&W wheelguns and 1911's, with some spaces left open for a very few practical or sentimental exceptions.

I put my bank account. But also the ability to secure them. If had the money to get the firearms I wanted then I would have the money to get good security, ie more gunsafes and add on to the house with an arms room.

In this order:
Common sense, Federal law & bank account have stopped me from acquiring ALL the guns I want :)

Much more interested in rifles is all-----the 3 er 4 um 5---guess I'm up to 5 handguns now--is all I really want or need----not to say I'll pass up a good deal or something that really trips my trigger---pretty much have all my perceived bases covered.

My ability to practice with them, commonality of magazines & holsters, manual of arms, etc.
Money, schmoney. I'm poor (less than 25k per year) but can save up for whatever I want if it means that much to me.

Bank account. Money talks. If it talks loud enough, everything else is a detail.

I guess we are all in agreement the bank account is a big factor. Also the federal goverment is helping things either. I really would like to get a Glock 18 :D

In no particular order: Fed & State laws (California, y'know), common sense and bank account.

Bank account. I could easily spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on guns.
Also the government. The difficulty in legally obtaining full auto firearms in addition to the expense has stopped me from getting the full auto and suppressed guns I want.
Eventually I'll get them.

Firstly, the Federal Government. I think it's a major joke that I could shell out the money for anything from a .22 rifle to a .50 BMG rifle, but since Im not yet 21, I can't go and buy myself a little popgun to protect myself. Boy, this country is getting backwards.
Second, of course, is the Bank Account. I can save, like I did for my BHP, but waiting two weeks (or more!) sure is tough sometimes.

Well, I'd say eventually time and money will stop me.
After all unless I can put my brain in a vat to be revived in 2090, I'll never own a Phaser. :D

Sorry guys but nothing has come between me and the purchase of any gun that I really wanted. I have never taken anything from my family in my pursuit of guns but I have done extra work(over time) or odd jobs to earn a little extra money to make my purchases. Fortunetly my favorite gun store has a good layaway policy and I've done just that for about 40 yrs. I have a wonderful collection of great rifles and handguns of almost every type and caliber that I like and my sons and future son-in-law will have a great collection of good guns when I'm gone. My 2 sons are avid shooters and enjoy them as much as I do, and my future son in law will have to like them of he will lose out on a lot of fine guns. :D

I just can't justify buying another handgun right now (unless I sell one).
The bases are covered...... carry...... home defense...... survival...... plinking...... target shooting....... hunting.
If I were to get involved in the "Action Shooting" competition, another gun, or perhaps, modifications to an existing gun would likely be required.

Bank Account and the ability to secure them all. If I could afford th buy all that I want I could certainly afford to provide them with a good metal home.
