Does anyone know what type of ammo this is?

I think this is 8mm ammo? I found this and don't own anything that would eat it.
A magnet will stick to the bullet but not the case. The bullet is sort of silver colored instead of brass and the case is crimped.http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/hh277/scratchyfrey/DSCN1120.jpg
1955 manufacture?

I am almost positive it is 8mmx57 mauser but is it A.P. or something? Does anyone know what the A A stands for if anything?

It is an 8mm mauser round, with some sort of cupronickel jacket. It is probably a heavy bullet in comparison to some 8mm loads, as cupronickel can foul badly at higher velocities.

The AA is probably the arsenal.

The ammo is Argentinian 7.92 (8mm) Mauser, manufatured for Ecuador in 1955.

Here is a thread describing this exact same ammo (http://cartridgecollectors.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2759).

EDIT:
The AA headstamp is listed on the cartridgecollectors.org list as Danish. However, the Danish produced a rimmed 8mm Krag round (see 6th picture down). http://www.conjay.com/Ammunition%20for%20Armor%20Testing%20WW2%20Miscellaneous.htm

Thank you for the information. I don't know where I picked this ammo up but now I know what it is.

Yeesh, Ecuadorian 8mm. I picked up a bunch of that stuff back when I first got into shooting. It's frustrating ammo, at least the bat I got is. 1/10 required a double tap on the primer. Doubt it's my firing spring too (Been firing de-linked Yugo 8mm with no issues)

bullet and case finish almost look as if its been tumbled polished.
