Help!

I am looking for a thigh holster that will easily work between all three of these weapons systems. I don't want to buy it for one specifically right now. But I will be carrying the Beretta in it for the next three years.

Glock 35, Beretta 92 FS, and a 1911 (5 inch).

Also do any of the holsters made for these weapons have the availability to use it with an attached light system. And will they work without he light attached also.

Reason I ask is that I won't have a light attached to the 1911 or the Beretta, but plan to use this holster for my nightstand rig once I get back to the states (Glock 35 with light attached).

I talked to the guys at SOE about this a few months ago.

The 1911 and Beretta will fit the same holster but the Glock 35 might be a smidgeon longer. At least with my old 1911 and before I restitched the thing for my P7.

They have a Glock + light holster but not sure if it fits the longer models. My SOE MIGHT have an open bottom for the extra bit of muzzle length to accomodate your Glock....they make an Mk23 holster for those bigger guns....

Skunky,

I tried to send SOE an e-mail, but the mail got bounced. I guess they don't check their e-mail very often or they are getting slammed with orders from Iraq.

I know these tactical shops are busy right now, and that's why I need some of this gear.

With Iraq and Liberia looming over our shoulders...it's only a matter of time before I deploy somewhere. I just want to have the gear to make my life a bit easier.

Let me call for you, since you're overseas...you can also try their forums at www.soegear.com or the www.lightfighter.com guys really know their gear....

Thing is while I can see how they'd work between the 3 guns, I can't see how it would work with AND without the light...too much space in there...you know? I'll ask anyway.

Thanks Skunky. You're the best!:p

I did get an e-mail through to them, and I also send one to Lightfighter two days ago, but still haven't gotten a response.

I am sure these companies are turning out the good for the good guys in Iraq. I am not awfully concerned about the timliness of getting this information. I know they will follow through when they get the time.

I just axxed, and the guy on the phone said the M9 and 1911 will fit the same holster, but the G35 is bigger so it won't....sorry :(

And completely different holsters with the light, no way to get them in the same holster.

I just called Eagle Industries and the lady on the phone said that if you get one for the M9, while it wouldn't fit perfectly as it's the biggest gun, the 1911 and Glock should both fit in it.

It also looks like they have a holster for and without the light.

Thanks Skunky. You're the best!

Awww shucks, considering you're away from your guns defending my freedom and stuff, it was the least I could do, considering tacticality is my area of expertise :D

Skunkability,

Thanks, I appreciate you going the extra mile on this.

Looks like Eagle is the one for me.

After checking their website, did they indicate which model I would have to use? Or would any of them made for the M-9 work?

Looks like the holster has extra space in there for the Glock 34's schnoz...the problem is the lady on the phone said the guy she spoke to said the Beretta was the biggest one  I don't have a 34 to compare (nice piece though!) but I always thought the thing was longer.

Want me to call Blackhawk tomorrow?

Skunkability,

If you don't mind calling them. I was thinking maybe I could just order one for the Glock 34/35, and adjust it for the M-9. Maybe add padding in the bottom or something.

Am I being retarded here? Or just cheap...maybe I should just get one for the darm M-9 and get a Vertec when I return to the states. you still got yours?

Yeah I still have my Vertec...only 1000 rounds through it.

You're not being stupid, you're being Tactically Logistical [(c)2002 Twoblink]

I'll give Blackhawk a ring tomorrow.

Thanks Skunkability,

I have settled on just getting a holster for the Beretta, hoping it will also fit a Vertec once I return to the states. Either that or whatever Beretta is making in 2006, that fits my needs.

But if I can find one to fit all three that would be a bonus for me.

Mil-Tech or Blackhawk.

Slightly off topic but if anyone wants a holster for a laser sighted pistol, try the carpet supply house for the leather belt pouches ($7) that they carry thier knives in. Bout 4 inches wide and 6 inches deep, ambidexterous, looks like a tool pouch hanging out below your shirt. No strap though, but my G21 w/laser fits deep enough to not need it. Appropriate for CCW but prolly not active duty military without modification.
Just a thought.

Thanks Skunky,

I got a chance to look at a Blackhawk Omega 6 Airborne holster today. I was impressed with it.

A guy I work with got one after he got back from Iraq, said he never wanted to deploy again without one.

I have decided to go with the same holster, without the Airborne strap.

It appears adjustable enough to fit a 1911 also, so I think it's what I need. If not, I will sell it when I retire.

You need to get the REAC or SOC rig from Edgeworks.
Just get the Beretta version as that is what you will be packing. Should you switch, it takes just about 3 minutes to swap to the other gun holsters.

my eagle holster has enough adjustment to fit a 1911, and a glock. it's also open mouthed. (it's the sas mark six, i believe.) it's not light compatable, though.

i hardly ever use it, mostly because i only have one leg strap for two holsters, and i use my eagle flap holster more, since it covers up the gun.

George,

You got a link for Edgeworks?

Thanks!
