I'm about to buy a ladder stand. Having never used one, do those of you who use them wear a safety harness?

I have a seat of the pants harness, and I like the rule if both feet are off the ground have a harness attached to the tree. i use the linemans belt option when climbing up.
I have used my protable stand and other peoples ladder stands with this harness.
But, then again, I *DON'T* intend to come out of a tree the fast way
:D
I would buy my setup again in a heartbeat.

Just got new Bass Pro Shop catalog out of mailbox. Some semi-pricey stuff in there, but a LOT less than the cost of waking up in the hospital. ;)

I use the safety belt when on my ladder stand.
It's hard not to fall asleep sometimes (heck, I plan on it once in a while) and I'd rather be awakened by the belt, than by the ground.
I like my ladder better than when I hunted out of climbers and hang-ons
but that's just me.
Take care and good hunting.

I wear a safety belt but do own a seat of the pants safety harness and belt. I don't feel comfortable in the ladder stand without atleast a belt on. Sometimes I get so sleepy sitting in that ladder stand. I know for a fact a safety belt saved my brother in laws life one time. It is almost like wearing a seatbelt in a car or truck, if something happens atleast it will increase your chances.
