well i got that Mossberg 500 today, brought it home assembled it, took the plug out, and when i put shells in it to test its pump action out and it spit all 6 out at once. So I take it back and the manager voids the no return policy and gives me another one and it is the smoothest shooting gun i have seen well one of.

I think that the broken one must have just been defective, but it was a bit ridiculous that it didn't work and I hadn't even shot it, but hey the store accommodated my requests to get a good PR from me, and I'm sure th rest of the local hunting society (I buy all my ammo there and they mostly know me).

I got one for my wife's birthday last year and she loves it. It is her first long gun. I got a 20 ga with wook stock and a 26" barrel. I then got a 18 1/2 " barrel for $70. It is a fun gun and I love the tang safty/ possition of the slide release. They just need to start putting on metal safties from the factory. I had to spend $20 to have it put on myself.

I got directly from mossberg for $67 delivered. It was the only source I found and it was money well spent!!!
