Ok..I decided to try a different color scheme since I already own another green AR, my 9mm was chosen. This is what she looked like before..

Well...I'm not sure what I like more, the original or the "desert" camo. Either way I can turn her back to her former self in a jiffy. I'll leave this one on for a while and see what kind of looks I get at the range. :D

Ahhh..well if I can call brown and tan cow print "Desert Camo" then surely you can call your Gateway cow print "Urban Camo"! :D

Krylon Gray Primer
HS Camo Marsh Grass
Krylon Ultra Flat Camoflauge Paint System in Brown
Krylon Matte Finish


I searched far and wide for the sand colored Krylon and finally ended up with the HS Camo Marsh Grass. It gives a slightly yellowish tint closer to the "CARC"(SP?) paint we used on our guns when I was with the 24th ID at Ft Stewart.

This is my second try. The first ended up in disaster when I didn't let the paint cure enough before "rough" handling. I ended up redoing everything.:banghead: This time I let the primer and base coat cure for a couple of days before handling. I also left it in the trunk of the car for some serious heat cure.:D

I can see it, but sometimes things are weird. I can see them from work, but not at home, or vice versa (don't remember the latter ever happening though ;))
