How is it accuracy-wise? Reliable? Fun? Good pistol? Easy to find extra mags? I want to try the 7.62x25mm for many years now. How oes this pistol stack up against the Tokarev? Better? As always, your help is greatly appreciated!

Just read the 2 other threads about this pistol that have been rolling along the last couple days.

Oops! That's what happens when I hurry to post this thread to hurry and get replies without reading the posts already here. Well, anyways, George, I agree with you and Mike Irwin on those threads. I saw a CZ-52 at my local shop. I'm going to go check it out and see if it says something interesting to my hand.

It's an interesting pistol. I'd get one again in a heartbeat.
If it's over 150, do some shopping.

My uncle and grandpa ordered 4 once, dont remember from where. It was kind of hit or miss, on finish and some function. IIRC one didnt lock open or the decock didnt work or something. They sent a couple back and just kept 2 really nice ones. His nice one wasnt locking back last time i saw it but we're pretty sure it was mag related, one worked, one didnt. Very accurate from what i could tell, and that little cartridge has a ton of zip behind it.
Nice gun, wouldnt mind having one if i had the money.

Yeah i just read through that last night. Apparently super hot loads will blow up the barrel, but its plenty strong enough for whatever normal ammo you buy.

Nah, Clark can get 2000fps out of a G19 without even piercing the primer :D

I thought the Glock KB's were related to poor case support.

I'll answer in the order that you asked based on my experience with my CZ-52.
1. Above average accuracy for a semi-auto pistol.
2. No problems in 400 rounds except one hard primer on a new production S&B round that required two hits with the hammer. The funny thing is, I had no hard primers with the mil-surp ammo. They are the ones that are supposed to have hard primers.
3. It is a BLAST to shoot. Those fast .30cals will really tear through some Stuff! From what I have read, velocities range from 1400-1700fps.
4. I think they are about as well made as most all steel service pistols. Very flat so they can actually be put in your wastband if you wish.
5. Mags are cheap and can be found online (e-bay, gunbroker, etc.) or at any gunshow.
The only downsides for this gun are, ammo is a little hard to find and it is not the most comfortable gun in the world but that can be helped with some grip tape. Try it, it works. It doesn't twist in my hand anymore now that I put some grip tape on the front and rear of the grip frame.

Thanks for the replies----GOT ONE! My local shop had one. Imported by Tennessee Guns. Thing looks never fired. Bore is shiny-sharp like a new dime. Not even wear marks on the pistol anywhere. Front sight is sharp and new, so it probably never even saw holster time. Just cleaned off all the cosmoline. Came with holster, two mags, cleaning rod, and ammo. Inside flap of holster has name "Havlik" written inside.
Am I impressed? YES! This pistol is fascinating!! I've wanted a 7.62x25 since I was a kid. Except, back then, you really couldn't find them because the whole Cold War deal. I actually think it's a very well-made pistol. My hands must be weird, because I find it fits my hands just fine. I asked to see it, and once I held it, said I'll take it.

It is very very cool.
If you reload, you can also do very interesting things with sabots and .22-caliber bullets.
Who needs an FN Five-seveN? :D

How do you like the triggers?
I only shot two M52s years ago and the triggers were in the 20 lb. neighborhood.
The 7.62x25mm is patterned after the 7.63 Mauser, that was popular with Russians in the Bolo Mauser. Must have done pretty well in Hongkong in the wild days according to Fairnbarn and Sykes.

Coronach, You mean "Who need an F'in 5-7?"
I'd be happy to Chow Yun Fat 6 CZ-52s for the price of 1 Five-seveN.

I'm not saying I wouldn't buy a FN, just that this gun will produce similar effects to the FN's fancy new ammo, and is legal for the proles to own.
Heck, I already stated publically that I'd buy a FN in a heartbeat (and a truckload of ammo), if I could do it without department letterhead, or without having to surrender it at the whim of my chain of command.

My CZ-52 trigger isn't too bad. I didn't even notice it being heavy. It is about average for a duty pistol. I have dry fired several times and live fired it over 400 times without having the firing pin break. For a gun of this price, just wait till something break until you go spending money on aftermarket parts. It may never break, these are military guns so they are made well, they aren't going to break every 50 shots or anything.
