Bench Update

OK, still not a "real" reloading bench, but it will suffice for my ocassional 45 ACP reload sessions! Took a few of the previous comments to heart and put down the chair mat and lagged the bench to the wall. Still a pretty cozy area, but for now it will do. Added the two shelves under the bench to hold tools, manuals, to keep the top clean for actual sessions. Got rid of the Lee scale which I hated and got the RCBS electronic which seems good. Took off the bullet feeder for now. Powder and primers are kept secured in the metal filing cabinet. Notice I left just enough room under the shelves to slide a 50cal can underneath. Bought some of the dividers that slide right in the 50 to hold spare parts, small tools, etc.

Old vs. New

Probably not visible above, but added a 16" flex LED light which snakes through the dies at top and pokes through the bullet feeder hole to light up the powder. Only about $12 or so shipped off ebay. Uses standard AA batteries, so cheap to run. Easier than trying to wire something up.

Notice I've snapped the chain already! (couple times) Have the splice in the middle.

Looks good. I say that qualifies as a real reloading bench. I like the light. I drilled a hole in my projector and use a Fenix E1 (http://www.eliteled.com/products/flashlights/fenix-e1.html) LED light that runs on a AAA. I think a light is a must have. :)
