Which of your handguns always gets the attention of your buddies?

...generates the most "discussion"

Maybe it's the most attractive gun....maybe because it's the most amazingly accurate at the range no-matter-who-shoots-it....maybe it's rare...

Or, maybe think of this way...which of your buddies/neighbors/etc - their handgun brings out the green (ENVY) in you?

...makes you say things like "Dang....that's a nice one"....or "I really want to get one of those".....or maybe even "Wish I had never sold mine...best I ever had"

Everybody has "users"...."beaters"...not interested in those
Also not interested in "what a deal" guns (got this one for $100, etc.)

Looking for a list of "remarkable" and "impressive" handguns....they are obvious...stand out in a crowd.

Doesn't have to be expensive....or tricked-out....might be...might not be.

Let's get a list going...I'm curious.

Easy enough...

#1 Uberti replica 1875 Remington in 38 Spec./.357 mag. Just a hoot to shoot and a classy look.

Hey Dan. This one attracts a fair amount of attention. I think it's the grips.

Nice looking 1911 Kamagong. Those grips are awesome. It would attract my attention at the range.

Colt SAA that is over 42 years old...I quit taking it to the range because people just couldn't resist picking it up...

With the light, it draws attention because of the light. When the light is not attached, the monolithic-looking rail tends to draw stares and start conversation.

This one is also my daily carry gun.

S&W 625.

Many people have shot for years but never used moonclips. And while .45ACP revolvers aren't exactly hens teeth, they're not your everyday gun. Smooth and accurate gun, too -- esp. in single action.

(I also think it's as good-lloking a revolver as S&W has ever made. If I should get any more of those down the line, I'd like them all to be stainless with black Hogue grips ;))

A friend of mine has a H&K USP Match .45 that fit me like an extension of my arm and shot to the exact point I was aiming at. He doesn't shoot as often as he used to, and I offered to take it off his hands for a not-inconsiderable sum, but he declined. Instead it's wasting away in his safe. He has other nice toys, but that one is the one that gets me going.

I have a modest collection, but probably my CZ Kadet that I had drilled/tapped with installed Millett red dot. Gets the most use too.

Rifles, gotta be my CZ carbine in x39. "What does that shoot?" "Same stuff the AK 47 does." "Wow, no kidding."

Desert Eagles get a lot of attention. So do guns that are "pimped out", lots of chrome and/or gold plated. Anytihng vaguely "assault weapon" looking will too like a Tec 9. Anything loud like a snub .44mag.

A Mateba semi-auto revolver, pretty cool isn't it?

Probably my old 5 screw K-22, old Colt Match Target Woodsman and Colt Service Model Ace. The old ones get looked at for more than contemporary models.

My Grandad gave me an old Colt .44-40 about twenty years ago. I still shoot it occassionally, with BP cartridges, per his instructions. It's a "Peacemaker" with bird head grips. Only revolver that has ever fit my hand halfway decently.

My S&W 65, It has a 4" pencil barrel and is moonclipped, when I can send 24 rounds down range with a revolver nearly as fast as a guy using a Bottom-feeding, Brass-puker and then pick up all of my empties just by picking up three things.

My Witness Elite Match has drawn a few comments. Not too many of them around, especially in 10mm.

This one ALWAYS draws attention from those that know what it is ... a near mint S&W K-22 / M17-0, and a wonderful shooter:

M11/9... not really a handgun, but then again, maybe it is. Not with the suppressor, though. ;)

My Magnum Research SA revolver chambered in .45/70 generally causes a stir at either the range or the hunting lodge. I shoot warm reloaded ammo...405 grain jacketed bullets at about 1350 fps...and it is memorable. And one heckofa hog killer as well.

My Ruger Redhawk in 357 gets the most attention from people when they find out it's a 357. A lot of people didn't know Ruger ever made them and have never even seen one. I usually let them shoot a few shots and they reall enjoy it. Has a very nice, smooth trigger and shots like a dream! :)

i don't really have any remarkable handguns but i do like my 1968 model 27 s&w........ the most impressive handgun in my book is my best firends .44 magnum automag! what a beauty!

Of course, not mine. I don't have anything anyone looks twice at, but my father's S&W model 19. That deep deep blue, nicely grained combat grips, and it'll shoot one hole all day long. Single action is just like the proverbial glass rod breaking, and double action is smooth.

P08 Lugers always get attention at the range.

People are often curious of my Rohrbaugh. I wouldn't call it remarkable per se or anything but it is pretty cool being the smallest 9mm out there.

My Walther P88 or P88 Compact. Good looking pistols and you don't see very many of them around.

The one gun I am envious of is my brother's P7M8.
