Will Gov. Feinstein get a ban though in time to beat the Chicago mob?

When not so Feinstein took over the mayors office in SF, she tried to confiscate all hand guns in town. :cuss:
She got a pretty good spanking for her effort.:D

She may be less likely to go "Full Monty" on the gun issue.:scrutiny:

Well fortunately I don’t think our fine governor will be in office long enough to push through a total confiscation statewide. There are enough politicians rep and dem that realize they can’t hurt an already horrible state economy. Deer and Goose hunting still brings in significant bucks to Southern Illinois as well as other parts of the state. Besides, all those rich guys in Chicago need somewhere to hunt.

If DiFi gets in, it'll be bad.

If Davis survives the upcoming chaos, it'll probably be worse. He's not actually a hardcore grabber but he's a malicious, vindictive sicko and he blames gunnies in large part for the recall itself (with some justification).

He's going to go on a rampage against us the first chance he gets.

I doubt the SCOTUS will take a 2nd Amendment case anytime soon. We can either vote in the right people and push for CCW state by state, or we can inform people about jury nullification. Why don't we do both?

If you can convince your average idiot on the steet that owning a gun isn't a crime, it doesn't matter what the President and Congress think of 12 people on a jury refuse to convict someone. The 2 main problems wth that is that the govt controls 1) the 'education' and thus the development of the people, and 2) it controls the flow of information to said people. We have to free the education sm and media of Federal control before we can begin retaking serious ground.

I predict the People's Republic of California will enact the worst predations against the Second Amendment first. Red Davis is the most visible socialist nut case, but by no means the only one.

I think that as bad as it is in CA, we still have large rural and semi rural areas that are not that anti gun and a lot of those areas are wealthy.

I think CA will get squeezed and squeezed hard, but I do not see a total ban any time soon.

Maybe an overturn of statewide exemption so the big cities can do NYC style bans.

I dont know IL that well, but I think Chicago has more power over the state and than SF+LA does over CA.

Might be a photo finish though :D

When not so Feinstein took over the mayors office in SF, she tried to confiscate all hand guns in town.
She got a pretty good spanking for her effort. That's just as wrong as it can be. The White Panthers tried to get her recalled specifically over the gun control issue. Her people ran a brilliant campaign portraying her as the poor victim of radical gun nuts and she came out of the recall vote stronger than ever. She was actually quite unpopular in SF before the vote, having come in after the assasination of George Moscone, who was a popular mayor.

She parlayed the vote into statewide recognition and, though her efforts in the governor's races were not successful, it eventually led her to the Senate. The rest is history.

A bit of a caveat on the current recall effort, IMO.
