I'll be getting my carry permit real soon, YEAH!!!
I'll be carrying an XD45 Service in a Comp-Tac Gurkha (http://www.comp-tac.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=50) and I would like to start wearing a vest (I work in an office environment so the vest can't look all tacti-cool) to help conceal my handgun. I live in Middle Tennessee so a jacket will become impractical when the weather warms up.
Anyone know of a good source?

Depending on your life style and the way you dress day to day.
you could buy a nice lether vest and wear that daily
a t-shirt with a button down short or long sleeve over shirt and dont button it up
a sport jacket
I carry a 1911 for all ocasions I can find something I already own to cover up with. Summer time I do the "jimmy Buffet" Corona t-shirt and a "tropical" short sleeve over shirt
Walmart and target win every time

Go out and get a blue or red vest like they wear at big-box mart or big-pharmacy chain. Add some tasteless pins on the front and nobody'll ever look for your nametag, they'll just assume....

I've been looking for a Walmart/Kmart kind of vest for a long time. Where can they be found? Try looking at your local uniform suppliers. Those vests are common fare among them. Choose your color.

glockgod - I couldn't find anything under "Smith and Alexander.com". I love the Bullfrog Skin vest but, I don't know about about spending $80 for it.

As recommended is quite a vest.
Interesting as to the reasons this vest come about.
Blending in is the key.
Real deal folks that have to blend in where they are, whether in the USA or abroad really key in to blending in, not drawing attention and not being remembered.
Ken has a winner with this vest!

I try to hit up the local goodwill every couple of months, as they often have like new, (Sometimes have the tags on 'em still), stuff for dirt cheap. I can experiment with different things without spending a lot. For me, sport coats work well, as they are a little longer and drape better than vests.

glockgod - I found the vests at smithandalexander.com. You must indeed "got the curves" (as in your signature). The $44 price is for size 4XL and up. Anything smaller is $38. I searched all over the web for men's vests and looked at dozens. None were what I was looking for at the right price until I saw this one. I think I'll order one - and maybe a Bullfrog Skin when I'm ready to splurge. Either or both would be suitable.

They also used to offer a discount to IDPA members-don't know if they still do.
