What kind of self defense related articles would you like to see in the gun rags?

One of the things I would like to see is more case studies. Where they take an actual event and review it. Pointing out what could have been done better, what was done well, etc.

I was always a big fan of "The Ayoob Files" where Masad Ayoob did just that. Every month he would dissect an actual case involving lethal force and teach us all something. I'm disappointed that column isn't run anymore.

Have you ever seen what a Henry rifle can do in the hands of a man who knows how to use it?

Also from DG in Silverado, "I don't want to kill you and you don't want to be dead."

I liked the Ayoob Files also.

Real life situations that actually occurred with 'what should have been done' or 'what was done correctly' slant. An article that could teach me something.

Stevelyn:
Massad's column was in the last issue of American Handgunner.
Page 42 Sept/Oct issue.
"Wrong Weapon: The Der/Kifer Incident.

I like the short articles in American Rifleman, "Armed Citizen." But I wish each article told what happened to the Armed Citizen. Were they prosecuted? Were they given a pat on the back?

Tell me more.

I'd like to know more about the differnt types of ammo used in the "Armed Citizen" type stories. How effective, and what didn't work very well.etc etc etc. :scrutiny:
