Is there any holster make that still makes full flap holster?
I would like to get one for a 4" K frame S&W revolver.
It would be used to carry the revolver while rifle hunting.

Thanks.

Can not recall specific manufaturers who still make these. Cabella's offers one in their bp Cowboy action pages in the current shooting catalogue. It is meant for longer barrels but they might offer one for yours.

Also, I have bought several holsters for wheelies on Ebay, lots of police equipment sales. As I recall, New Jersey State Police used flap holsters almost to the end of revolver issue.

Triple K makes one. I love mine and carry a 4" Speed Six. I always feel like Indiana Jones when I wear it.

Bianchi International (www.bianchi-intl.com) make a version of the current USGI military holster for 4" mid-frame revolvers. I like it because it can be carried on either side (even converted into a shoulder holster) and water won't hurt it. One time mine was soaking wet, and I simply hung it on a on a line by fastening it by the flap, and let it dry. That won't work very well with leather.

DeSantis, Old West Reproductions, Kramer, and Alfonso's Of Hollywood, depending on how much you want to spend.
I have flappers from all of the above, and one from El Paso Saddlery.
All are first class.

I love my Triple-K. It's simple and effective. It's a pity flap holsters aren't appreciated more. For field carry they're ideal.

Question for you Triple K flap holster owners...
Can it be worn in cross draw position or is it just strong side only?

I'm drooling at all the nice leather being linked to in this thread. :)

Almost makes me want to find some reason to need a flap holster, since I don't hunt.

My Kramer flapper is the fanciest one I own.
I think he still has a photo of it on his website, sharkskin. :)

The old GI .38 revolver military holster will work for Model 10, 15, etc. K frame holsters--not for the M19/66 with the lug under the barrel. It will work for all the 4" Ruger "Six" revolvers. Very good field rig. They can be found surplus now and then, and I think the Pacific Canvas ads feature them in reproduction.

The Bianchi UM84R is a very good rig for my GP-100. It is listed as fitting the above M19/66 revolvers but may be just a bit big for them. It is a very good, if expensive rig.

Plus the others listed.

I do like a flap holster for boondocking.

a cz 52 holster visually looks as if it work. the mag pocket can hold a pocket knife too.
