How would i go about putting a sling on my Mossberg 930spx??

Depends on what kind of sling you're looking for...

I bought a GG&G side mount forward sling mount and mounted it as a two-point.

Smitty, I have no firsthand experience but from what I head if you bump your magazine you could potentially destroy your magazine tube. A magazine barrel clamp would prevent this.

Nope, a mag clamp is not needed. As you might be able to see, I don't "baby" the gun, I've used it for two 3-gun shoots and have low crawled through gravel with it, There are a bunch of the 930 SPX's out there and I haven't heard of any mag tube problems...

There was a really nice design for a mag clamp out there that had 2 small picitinny rails on each side so you could mount a light or accesory, but I can't remember who made it....

NO!! Make sure you get the one for the 590....

oh btw hows your 930spx holding up? and whats the round count up too?

My SPX is doing great, I'm somewhere between 2,500 & 3,000 rounds, I haven't shot it in about three weeks, it's cold up here and the club is on "winter hours" so it's week-ends only:eek:

My camo 28" M500 waterfowler came with studs, forward one drilled and tapped into the piece that the screw fits to screw the barrel into the magazine tube. I wouldn't think it'd be tough to drill and tap one that wasn't shipped that way. Came with the sling, too.
