I looked at the handguns I have and do not have a single duplicate mfg. I'm not a collector, I bought each gun individually for its function and quality. It just struck me as strange that no mfg is duplicated. I have:

1 Ruger
1 Browning
1 Walther
1 Sig
1 CZ

Do you have mostly guns from one or two mfgs or mostly guns from a single mfg.

I voted that I have most of my handguns from 2 manufacturers but really it is 3.
I like Ruger Wheelguns, I have two and want many more.
I like HK autoloaders, have 2 and want a couple more.
I like Browning .22s but having 2 already I don't think I'll get more.

This I can attest. You wonder if he's suppose to be at the range or if he's a lost vendor looking for the gunshow. :D

S&W: 4
Springfield Armory: 1

I plan to rectify that in the future by adding a Ruger security six or SP101, then later perhaps a Uberti Cattleman and a Colt DS. A CZ-83 or VZ-82 would be sweet too. A Ruger Single Six would be nice as well.

I'm gonna be broke!

I guess I have to go with option #3.

Smith and Wesson (almost 1/3 of my handguns are S&W revolvers.. but that doesn't make it most of them)
Springfield
Ruger
Beretta
IMI (Magnum Research)
Colt
Taurus
Jennings

Did not vote b/c I liquidated most of my collection and I'm down to three guns right now. :what:
But...
I've owned (as handguns):

11 S&W's (at least)
3 Glocks
3 Rugers
3 Taurus'
2 SIGs
2 CZ's
1 Bulgarian Makarov
1 Browning

It's hard to choose favorites, but if I could only have 1 brand it would be S&W...

Many manufacturers. I'm certain there are quite a few I've not even heard of and / or aren't in the States for whatever reason.

However, I'm always on the lookout for the next purchase :) Who knows, maybe it will be something I've not heard of before.

Thanks,

1-Browning Buckmark
1-S&W .22A
1-Heritage Arms whatever (the one that's a copy of the Single Six)
1-Hi Standard HD Military
1-Bersa Thunder .380
1-Daewoo DP51

1-Federal Orinance Ranger Lite (1911A1)
1-Taurus MilleniumPro 745

As you can see, I never spend much on my handguns. Only two of them suck. The Federal Ord. 1911 jams too much to be anything more than a range gun, and the Heritage shoots left.

Handguns only - I believe it is now at 22 DIFFERENT brands for U.S.-made and just 2 from foreign makers. Got one today that makes an even dozen from that one U.S. brand.

And, that particular company ceased operations 80 years ago!

Multiples of autoloaders and wheel guns by several manufacturers. All my wheel guns are S&W. Most of my autoloaders are SIG in .45 ACP, 357 SIG, and 9mm. I have a few from H&K, SA, and S&W. I have a CZ 75B in satin nickel on the way. I didn't plan to own a nickel gun, but it was NIB and well more than a hundred bucks cheaper than a polycoat CZ 75B.

I don't have any intention to stick to any one brand/manufacturer. I buy what I believe is best for my needs and what will work/fit.
That being said, I currently do lean more toward the older type revolvers. This is for the same reason I've been more interested in bolt guns over semi's for the past few years.
I also won't duplicate a firearm as I believe my goal is to build an acceptable, usable, flexible, battery and not begin a collection of firearms I might find too valuable to shoot.
My current hand gun/manufacturers are:
S&W Model 629 Classic w/ 5" - .44mag/.44spec
S&W Model 60 Chiefs Special Style w/ 2" - .38spl
S&W Model 63 Kit Gun w/ 4" - .22lr
Colt 1911 pre series 70 - .45ACP
IMI Magnum Research Baby Eagle - 9mm
Taurus 92C - 9mm
Ruger MKII Target 512 - .22lr

Four series I kimbers, one para, one glock, one taurus, and one AMT. Have owned Colt, Ruger, Kahr and SA as well.

If not for bills and stuff I would own more brands. Namely Sig (P220), SA (XD45), and probably FN (Hi Power) as well.
