Well...sold my HK USP C and got this in trade(well..I had to add a bit of cash to boot), but either way I have a new 1911! :D

She is a "loaded" 1911 with all the neat stuff such as nite sights, ambi safety, titanium firing pin, you know..the works. It also came with the fingergroove grips as well as the standard grip sets. As for shooting, she shoots like a dream! Using Win USA 230grain ball ammo I got 3" groups offhand at 15 yards. At 7 everything made one large ragged hole. I never got to benchresting because I was having so much fun shooting her at firewood logs that I had propped up for "reactive" targets.:D

The trigger broke cleanly at what felt like 4lbs with very little creep. All emties all ejected cleanly into the same area, approximately the size of a 5gallon bucket hole. I only had one malfuntion during the initial break in. This was using 200gr Gold Dot +P ammo. There is a definite recoil difference when using those and my only stoppage was when I limpwristed on the next to the last round. The last round failed to chamber completely, requiring a slight tap to fully seat. Other than that 100rds of USA ball and 20rds of Golt Dot +Ps went without a hitch.

My only dislike was the two peice guide rod. I would have preferred an entirely tool free breakdown procedure, but since it works just fine I won't mess with it.

Now comes the question. Does SA use a 2pc barrel? I can see a faint line in the chamber section going completely around the barrel. I know some Hi Powers have this feature, but I didn't know they also did it with .45s.

Oh..do I miss my HK USP?.....Nahhhhhhhhhhh...:D

Good Shooting

Yup, 2 piece barrel ;) You don't get the one piece barrels until you get higher in the line.
