But the big brown truck showed up at my door Wednesday with a virtually new Creedmoor size 48 left handed hardback cordura coat. With the hard back and the ventilated sides they go for about $320 new.

$160 including shipping! Did I mention its in like new condition? Not a bad find. It made my day.

Buying anything off E-Bay financially supports the people who don't think you should be allowed to own any firearm. The Brady Bunch will thank you for your contribution.

Yea I use to buy off e-bay, but when they said no more fire-arm stuff, I have not been back. :)

The way I look at it is that I can either stand up and fight a fight that no one will notice that I'm fighting (do you really think that Ebay will miss me is I stop buying from them), or I can save $160 on something that I want and use the saved money to buy more gun stuff somewhere else.

There are some fights that transcend money and some that don't. Boycotting ebay is a highly symbolic gesture that won't change their policy. Bbut in the end, money talks and now I can talk to Phil at Miller's Gun Shop with $160 more than I could before.

Do you people boycott Walmart? Its the same thing, everytime you buy something from walmart you contribute to china and weaken our own economy. Do you eat at Mcdonalds? they contribute all kinds of money to get rid of our firearms, but you don't boycott them do you. It sounds like you people may have a one track (follow the next guy) mind. There are thousands of deals just like this that can be nitpicked, but I bet you don't realize it. So I say go save some money on Ebay.

I think you're right Clint. If we look deeper into every business where we spend our money, I'm sure we could find a reason to boycott most of them if we wanted to. I wasn't happy with Ebay's decision to stop selling a lot of gun stuff, but passing on some of the deals still to be found there isn't hurting ebay, someone else will end up buying the item. It would only hurting me.

Somehow the argument of:

"There! I showed them! I paid $320 for a Creedmoor coat and someone else bought the one on Ebay for $160. That'll teach em!"

just doesn't hold water with me.

What site other than Ebay do you use for general merchandise and parts ?

Hey, I mentioned I understand and allow others to have their rights which means you have a right to do what you want as long as it is legal.

I don't use e-bay anymore. I used them to purchase firearms at, now I go to gunbroker. I don't use the net much to purchase items, I get it at my local locations. I buy mostly from my local gun guy if he does not have it I'll look at gunbroker. I am looking at some ammo right now to purchase. I found it at gunbroker 400 corbon, hard to find as a general rule.

Paypal is an e-bay item also, they are totally against firearms.
Wal-mart sells ammo.;)

I suspect the boycott has had some effect. Ebay has reduced the rates it charges sellers to list items. This is a first. I suspect that they're losing people.

Ebay is a private business and can do anything they want.

Ebay does not allow the selling of items that are regulated in any state (even just one) because they face liability for allowing the transaction to take place, since they cannot control the adherence of regulations on either end of the transaction.

Say what you want but its an appropriate business policy in my opinion.

You wan to make progress on the issue, fix the state by state regulations.
