For most of you this will not seem like much of an accomplishment but for me it was pretty good. Using my old 8mm Mauser and the sights that came onit I was able to hit the head of silloutte at two hundred yards 5 shots in a row. I have bad depth perception, so I am quite proud of this feat.

:) That's excellent shooting with military iron sights, IMO. (And an accurate rifle to boot.) What ammunition were you using?

That's good even for someone without depth perception problems.
What kind of rifle and ammo? I just bought an Egyptian Mauser and need to decide what kind of ammo to buy.

It was a Turkinsh Mauser with 8mm Mauser surplus ammo. This stuff is cheap $35 for 500 rounds. It is also corrosive so that's something to consider.

Yeah, I wish I could hit with my SKS like that.

Do you remember what kind of surplus ammo it was? If you can't, could you post the headstamp?
Thanks and sorry to be a bother...

Darn, and I thought putting 10 out of 10 on half a pie pan at 100 yds. with a Mosin 1891 was doin' good!
Congrats:)

If I could only shoot that good with my mosin nagant at 100 yards. I was thinking that very same thing.
Good shooting, .45Ruger!
