I have a place locally that has it but they charge $21 a pound. I have seen prices ranging from $13/lb to $18/lb (excluding shipping + hazmat fees). Who has the lowest price? Would I be better off just purchasing it locally for $21/pound rather than pay the shipping and hazmat fees?

Pay the price for the local powder. that sould hold you over for a while..the Spring time shoot at friendship should supply you with enough powder to las the the next season and them soom.

Buying locally vs mail order is usually a decision made based on the size of the order. I can get Goex at a place about 50 miles away, one way. I don't remember the exact prices, but when I did the arithmetic, I could get it cheaper from Graf and Sons only if I ordered several pounds (I think is was over 5).

I compared Graf & Sons and Powder, Inc. As I recall Graf was more expensive per pound, but they include shipping. They also require a minimum $30 order, so there's a break even point where one is a better deal only below a certain amount.

So, when I just need a couple of pounds, and happen to be driving through the area where the local shop is, I pick some up. If I'm getting low and don't expect to be in that area in the near future, I order it from either Graf's or Powder Inc; the choice depends on how much I can afford to buy at the time.

i can get it locally for 17.00 a lbs. This seems to be cheaper for me than paying shipping and hazmat fees. Then of course when i buy it locally. i have the powder right now. No waiting.

Link on website shows their distributors http://www.goexpowder.com/distributors.html I have contacted all that are local to me in PA. All list powder at about $9.95 a lb. Need to order a case to justify Haxmat fees. Comes to about $320 for the case of 25#. Can also mix powder grades f thru ffff. All same price. Or a little less than $13 a lb. AND you do not have to drive to the store to find that they are out of what you need.

Track of the Wolf has it for 12.88 a pound shipping and hazmat included but you have to buy 25 pounds but you can mix different grades
