knight extreem vs. others

this looks like a bolt which is what i have 5 of. what are the pro and con of this rifle. just saw conversion breach plug that would give me the benefit of not having to use the full plastic jacket. now im intrested. in it. how do i clean it? what is invloved? thanks

This page indicates that the bolt mechanism is easy to remove and clean.

As with most inline muzzle loaders, you must remove the bolt and breech plug and clean out all of the powder residue from the barrel the best that you possibly can.

I always thought that some types of plastic primer holders were designed to help to keep most of the powder fouling from blowing back past of the nipple. Maybe it's possible that more fouling will get into the bolt mechanism if you switch to the conversion breechplug? :confused:
Since I don't own one I don't really know, but maybe you can email Knight with your questions?

I find that the current move toward breakdown inlines justified by the fact that they are so much easier to clean. Take a look at the Lyman Mustang. I just bought one but haven't had the time to shoot it.
