Charter Arms Pathfinder .22 LR

I bought a brand new Charter Arms Pathfinder last Saturday. I am very pleased with the quality of this little snubbie. I went to the range to check it out. I only had one real problem. The gun shoots about 6 inches low. I was using cheap American Eagle 38 grain ammunition from the Federal Cartridge Company. The target was only 7 yards away. I tried both double action and single action and was very careful with trigger control. Just to confirm I held around 6 inches high and put the rounds in the bullseye. One other quirk is that you cannot see the rear notch (sight) until you pull the hammer back. Any suggestions?

Try different ammo. I have had .22s keyhole with some types/brands of ammo and shoot others into small groups at point of aim.
I have an older Pathfinder with adjustable sights and it shows definite preferences among different brands of ammo.

try different ammo, if that doesnt work you will have to adjust your hold on the target or file the front sight down.

I just got one of these 22's ... it seems a bit sticky when you
try to open it ... also the ejector seems a little rough ...
is this just because it is new ... ?

not because its new, its beause it is a low end gun without the refinements of a more finished piece.....you get what you pay for with C.A.

I have the older one, I used to have 2 of them. $150 anib in 2003. I like it but as wih many CA products it has it's QC quirks. Mine vibrates from recoil it seems and the very small screws on the adjustable sights like to back out.
Also mine seems prone to misfires especially if dirty, more so than S&W .22lr revolvers.
