Oh My God! it worked. Thanks G. of the C. but my daughter schooled me when she brought back the camera.

Pancho that pic is way out of balance. I think it has something to do with that revolver in the middle. To make it right you ought to send it to me to lighten your load. :)

Im283, Ok, you talked me into it---------NAH! I've been wanting to produce a photo that showed the scale of the 1862 Colt Police and my ROH tells it pretty clear.

Seriously it is a good pic.

And it does show the point you were trying to make. I like the Colt Police as much as the ROA.

The Colts point and aim nice for me(small hands). Although I like the ROA it feels like holding a horse by it's hind legs and it's small by comparison to a Walker.

Pancho, glad you got it down. The photograph look's just fine. Now, if you'll just hurry up and get rid of that damned ol' ROA you might turn out to be a pretty fine fellow....

Shawnee, I thought you'd get the " holding a horse by it's hind legs" thing. Thanks for providing 2/3rds of the guns in the picture. How you like those holsters for the 62's.

Yes, excellent picture, nice composition, good lighting, etc.

However, why did you choose to post a picture of a school bus instead of some of your guns?

All the time I was trying to keep the cat from walking across the frame. School bus now that is a hoot! If I'd chosen a Walker I'd have to stand on a ladder to get it in frame.

The holsters look fine too, Pancho !! I think putting the guns and holsters together makes the whole greater than the sum of the parts !

LOLOLOLOL !! :D:D:D Nope, the "horse comment" didn't get by me!

I know where we can get some Clint Eastwood cigars. ;)

Are those Treso nipples I see on that Ruger? If so, how do they compare to stock?

Pancho
February 4, 2008, 08:14 PM
Shawnee tells me that they are Tresco nipples I'll let you know when the weather gets better and I shoot the crap out of it.

Nice guns Pancho and a very good pic. What do you mean 21st century? Have I missed out on 200 years somewhere?

Nice shootin', Pancho.

One needn't worry, all that much, about catching up to the 21st century. Oh my, no. Time always seems to find ways to catch up on one, all by itself. :uhoh:

Cheery thought, eh?

Don't worry guys from where I'm at I can only see the 21st century I ain't in it by a long shot.

Pancho
February 14, 2008, 01:21 AM
The problem is that I wanted to list this picture on another thread and didn't know how. Damn I'm dumb. So I brought it back up to the top and referenced it on the other thread. I've got to get another lesson from my daughter.

Pancho - Just had another go-‘round with that quote box. Don’t fret over a picture posting.

Had some problems with remembering how to insert a photo into a post, myself. Thought on it a while and it came back to me.

Have posted my steps. They're on the next page, if you're interested. Not sure how easy they'll be to follow. Never was the sharpest light bulb in the knife drawer.

Picture posting instructions, surefire guaranteed to either confuse a feller into a froth, or help. Hope it's the latter.

* First, go to the Advanced Posting option.
* Then, hit the Manage Attachments button (Next to the Smiley button; looks like a paper clip.)
* When that menu opens, hit the Browse button. (You are, now looking through folders and files, contained within your own computer.)
* Then, just keep pointing and clicking, until you get to the specific picture file, where it's stored in your computer (You can insert a disk and go to a file stored there, as well).
* Open that file.
* Push Upload, and the picture will get inserted into your Advance Posting Message.

NOTE: You have to know where the picture is stored, on your computer, before you can access it with the Browse button. A common example would be:

* Point and click on Local Disk (C: ),
(If C: is where the hard drive for your computer is located.)
* Point and click on My Documents,
On some systems, one may go, directly to My Documents, without having
to call up the Local Disk (C: )
* Point and click on My Pictures,
* Point and click on the desired picture file.
* Open the file.

The above is only an example. If your photo is stored on a disk, you would insert the disk into the player, then call up CD-RW D: (where D: is the location of your disk player). Then, look throught the files on that disk for your picture.

Wishing y'all good picture-posting, or posting, or image inserting, or whatever.

Boy that was clumsy. Perk, when I clicked on the Manage Attachments I didn't get a browse button so I thrashed around and got it. Don't know how Don't know if I can do it again.

Noticed that the button was a bit testy, when I first pushed it, myself, tonight. At first, thought I'd done something wrong. Next time I went back, just kept pushing on the button, and the arrow next to it, until the right thing happened.

Next time it came easier. Reckon the button got loosened up, or some such.

Getting ready to hit it, for tonight. Will check back here, tomorrow morning, our time. If you've got questions, post 'em on down. 'D be happy to help if I can. Unless someone else beats me to it, that is.

Mcgunner, I brought up to the top a thread called "photo experiment". I took a pretty good picture showing my brace of 62 Colt Police with my ROA to show scale. The catalog pictures can't tell you that

Thanks! Those barrels do look longish. Guess I could always get it cut down if I found the need. I wouldn't actually carry it unless laws got worse than now. Always had in back of my mind that BP was a fall back if laws got really draconian on modern carry gun options. I make my own percussion caps, cast my own bullets, and COULD take up making black powder if forced to.

I probably should have a derringer in the battery eventually, could even carry on on an ankle for back up or something. But, I'm sorta wanting that mid sized revolver first. My first BP revolver was a 51 Navy. I was in college and broke and didn't know any better and it was brass framed. Of course, in about 10 years of off and on shooting it, it stretched.
