I use WC844 surplus for shooting the M193 54gr tracers. I think H335 would do well also. In my testing you'll reach high pressure faster with the longer tracers than with 55fmj's. My limited experience with them is to reduce my 55fmj load by 0.5 grains. At 25.5 for win55fmj and 25 grains of 844 for the 54gr tracer, velocities are approx. the same. Your results with 844 may differ as this particular lot was quite fast. Unless your 55fmj loads are near maximum you could use the same charges but if they are at maximum you need to reduce the charge for the longer tracer.

I use w846T and tracers. If yours are like mine, maybe 1 or 2 in 10 will light. at best. They are fun and cheap- I recommend them as long as you have a safe place to shoot them. They aren't tack drivers by any means
I use the BL-C2 data reduced by 10% with my lot of powder. I also stay right at the starting loads. its got plenty punch for my needs.
I've also used IMR4895 and had about the same % light. enjoy! hi-tech has good prices on them :)

If yours are like mine, maybe 1 or 2 in 10 will light. at best. Are these the "Lot 1" (90%will light--according to Hi-Tech) or "Lot 2" (10-20% will light)? I'm just wondering If Hi-Tech's claims are accurate. I bought some of the "90%" in .308, but haven't loaded any yet.
