Radio spot urges reporting of suspicious behavior

TRENTON - Gov. McGreevey has recorded a new radio spot that urges New Jerseyans to report suspicious behavior they believe might be related to terrorism.

The 60-second public service announcement is for the New Jersey Office of Counter-Terrorism's toll-free tip line, 866-472-3365. McGreevey tells state residents that while officials have taken steps to make New Jersey safer, people should remain vigilant and call the tip line if they see something suspicious.

"Everyone has a sixth sense that tells us when something we observe is out of the ordinary," said Sidney J. Caspersen, director of the state's counterterrorism office.Guess who's going to get ratted out the most? :fire:

"McGreasy the Sleazy" does seem to be an appropriate name, from what I have observed.

Myabe 'dropping a dime' on all those unmarked vehicles that you KNOW belong to some sneaky .guv unit........

fog, you mean like those big white SUVs the feds drive around in?:D Can they be any more obvious?

My fave is after 9/11 there were suddenly all these white vans and SUVs around West Lafayette with mini-bamboo forests sticking off the back ends. Gee, what could they be up to?

Talk about sore thumbs.

NJ guys...make sure you clean your guns w/ the blinds drawn (especially if you have a penchant for "assault weapons") b/c the likely alternative is having your doors kicked in by the Ant-Terrorist Task Force. The combo of antigun neighbors, and overzealous cops makes for a dangerous environment for us gun owners.

El Tejon:

I have seen a couple of those that were supposedly "stealth cars", but when the car/truck/suv is wearing "US Gov't" plates.................

pd, U.S. Gov't plates. Big Fibbie war wagons with gear from NSA.

It was pretty silly (at least to me). Why not walk around campus with a big orange sign. "Here we are. We're listening."

Like UBL was going to call some distant cousin at Purdue and chat about the cousin's organic chemistry exam or EE thesis.

[meanwhile in a cave on the Paki-Afghani border] "O, hammer of Allah, what have you planned next?"

"Rejoice, my warriors in Peace, I have devised a plan to cripple the Great Satan's supply of EEs, Chemical engineers, mechanical engineers, and America's supply of pocket protectors. We will attack West Lafayette, Indiana."

"Where? But we are not at war with India." :D

Someone who lives in NJ

Should report a few family members of the politicians who thought this up.
Like the Atty Generals Aunt or Grandmother.

Didint you see Granny mixing a batch of ANFO in her garage, sure you did.:neener:

Whats good for the commoners is good for the Elite folks as well.

If this happened it might put a stop to this unconstitutional mess.

Guess who's going to get ratted out the most? Hopefully, politicians, their families, members of HCI, PETA and the DNC . . .

"...call the tip line if they see something suspicious."

What is suspicious?
-Cops breaking the speed limit w/o their lights on? (Car could be stolen)
-Cops running red lights to get into the drive-thru at a greasy spoon? (Information drop)
-Someone parked in a loading zone for more than the time limit? (Car bomb)
-How about the person depriving the city government be randomly inserting coins into parking meters for cars other than their own? (Seriously, there is a law against this where I live.)
And so on...

Everything is suspicious. Everything should be reported. Call often.
If only NJ weren't on the wrong side of the country from me. (Oh wait. Damm. What am I thinking?...)

"Everyone has a sixth sense that tells us when something we observe is out of the ordinary," said Sidney J. Caspersen, director of the state's counterterrorism office."

Does this suspicious behavior include irrational belief in supernatural powers, like a sixth sense?

Hell...where do these idiots think they are, California?

From October 10 - 13 a Rutgers student group called New Jersey Solidarity will host the "Third North American Student Conference of the Palestinian Solidarity Movement" on campus at the Douglas Center. This chapter of the Palestinian Solidarity Movement has publicly stated that there is nothing particularly wrong with suicide bombing as well as supporting the destruction of Israel.
The Palestinian Solidarity Movement (also known as the International Solidarity Movement) has explicit ties to known terrorists. Also, their last demonstration in Michigan was full of "death to Jews" chants among other hateful activities supporting murder and terrorism to further their agenda. And since Rutgers is a publicly funded university, this conference will be partly paid for with New Jersey tax dollars.
Governor McGreevey has, in the face of intense opposition, given the green light to this gathering under the pretense of free speech. This is the same abuse of our freedom that directly led to the terror attacks of 9/11 and the same abuse of our Constitution that may lead to another.
We must maintain an uncompromising policy of courage and zero tolerance to terrorism. It's about time that our elected officials honor their oath of office to defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic.
"Never Again". "Never Again". "Never Again".

Sounds like HateSpeech to me. I guess if you use the word 'Jew', or 'white' it's ok....If you dare use a word like 'hispanic' or 'black' in the same sentence, Jesse Jackson and the ACLU will be there knocking your door down and serving everyone in your family plus the cat with about a half dozen lawsuits. Where are they now?
Oh, wait, they're busy. Jackson is running yet again for President (like he has since, what, 1980?), and the ACLU is probably off whining about segregated black schools, and creating segregated schools for children with non-standard sexual prefrences.

As a alumni of Rutgers, this Palestinain Solidarity BS is making me sick. This group openly supports IJO and Hamas, and hung banners all over the campus while i was there saying, "From The River to the Sea, Palestine Will Be FREE!!!! " The politically correct President, and liberal professors have reaped what they've sowed giving recognition to this terrorist apologist group, i hope Rutgers has their funding cut in half.
