Anyone know what the blue book says is the value for an 1100 sporting 20ga? My friend bought it for his daughter new for Xmas, but she just never took to it. The gun is circa 2001, looks like new, has fired about 3 boxes of shells since birth. Comes with a hard plastic case and a case of 20ga #8 field ammo. I have offered $400. He has mentioned $500. Am I low or is he high? It's one of those times when the seller needs the money, but I am his friend.

My blue book is at the office but I found them new at Buds for $813.00.

I know I saw the 1187s at Walmart for $589.00 a year ago.

I would think $500.00 is a good fair price for a gun you know
the history of.

Give him the $500 for the gun and the case of ammo before he changes his mind and sells it to someone else. It is well worth his asking price and perhaps more.

I'm sure that if you don't buy it, he won't have any trouble selling it to someone else. Heck, the ammo is worth about $50 or more.

Well here it is!
2001 Remington Sporting 20. All the chokes, plastic case, and one case of ammo for $500. The inside of the receiver doesn't even show wear marks
yet. Can't wait to put the ammo down range with it!

I would have jumped all over that that for 500.00 and not even blinked an eye. That's a pretty stock too. You did good, nice shotgun.
