I have a feeling that the ammo you are speaking of is going to fragment upon impact, CCI quickshot style, and might not penetrate to the recommended distance of 12".

Like the glaser: great if it works, no so much if the situation isn't perfect; only not as extreme as the glaser, because it breaks into larger chunks which will penetrate deeper.
