I am hopefully getting a license shortly .
What kind of paperwork is involved once you have the license
and want to purchase a firearm ?
Do you need to buy a book somewhere to record
your purchases ? If so where ?
What has been your average on shipping ?

Thanks Bill

Go over to the Parallax C&R Forum at http://pub113.ezboard.com/bparallaxscurioandrelicfirearmsforums & then go down to the C&R FFL discussion board. One of the members has put a downloadble copy of the bound book there. Once you decide what to purchase send the seller a signed copy of your C&R. Do not sign the original. Shipping will depend on the seller. If you buy from one of the major C&R dealers (AIM, Century, SOG, JLD, Empire Arms) you'll pay anywhere from $7 to $15 for shipping. If you buy from someone who won't/or can't use the USPS then shipping will be $25 and up.

Expect to see your credit card balance and checking balance go in opposite directions :D :D

The August 4th issue of Shotgun News also has a pretty good article on getting started with a C&R license.

Don't know what a C&R is. But in the great Republic of Texas, just get what you want then get your CHL to avoid conflicts with the local constabulary and punk assistant DA's.

Does that sound "redneck" enough? Yeaa Haa!!!
