Hi all,

Newbie with a question

Just purchased a new Steyr M40, nice gun, shoots good, feels awesome and I got a great deal on it to boot!

Ordered a pair of spare mags from CDNN, should be here mid week but my question to the masses is this…

Night sites? Any suggestions?

Holsters? Leather preferably?

Best all around place for Steyr stuff?

Any info, war stories, experiences or helpful links welcomed!

Galco is still producing their Fletch model for the M series-

And I bet Greg Kramer will make one www.kramerleather.com

Nite Sights: PT makes 'em for the Steyr:

http://www.ptnightsights.com/

The price is better at Arizona Gunrunners:

Distributors:

DAVIDSON'S or CDNN

I really really really wish Steyr would make some Trapazoid night sights. I can see the advantage of night sights (especialy since my M40 is my house gun), but I love the Triangle/Trapazoid sights.

As for holsters, I have a real nice one done by TFL/THR'er Mark Waldon http://www.waldonholsters.com Unfortinately he's not taking orders right now :(

Many of the guys here swear by High Noon holsters for their Steyrs http://www.highnoonholsters.com/

I also wish I could find someone who makes a Steel guide rod and recoil spring assembly (and I'd really love it if LaserMax would make a laser sight for it).

Hi folks,

Thanks for all the great links, found me a holster, which I’ll purchase Monday also looking hard at some nite-sites.

I found mine at a place in Butler GA, Barrow Sporting Goods but I did order my spare mags from CDNN.

Figured I'd tag on to this old thread rather than start a new one.

Weasel did you ever find a pair of trapezoid night sights for the Steyr M-A1?

I heard that Steyr used to make some as an option...however their website currently has no reference (that I can find) towards the M-A1 series.

I know PT makes a pair of Night Sights, but don't know much about the company plus they're the 3-dot varietal.

I also found that Trijicon appears to make a 3-dot Night Sight for the Steyr.

Does anyone have any info on Trapezoid night sights??
