Hey! Jim Scoutten! Where's the American Shooter successor? The Tour De Lance is over but..... As I type this OLN is running a rerun rerun rerun "Best Of ". When may we expect the new show??? I realize that it is likely ouy of your hands , however an update would be appreciated

The Dish Network Listings have the first "Shooting USA" airing at 8 AM on Saturday (2 August) Morning.

Just checked OLN's web site and no mention of Shooting USA. Did a search of the listings and returned no results. It seems like this one isn't going to happen. :mad:

I just checked TV Guide and it lists Shooting USA on OLN at 8:00 am Satirday August 2nd. Now I'm confused.:confused: Guess I'll just have to set the VCR and hope.

Interesting. Dish Network still thinks Shooting USA is going to be on, but OLN's listings on their website have Gray's Sporting Journal in its place...

I guess we'll see who's right.

I just checked OLN on cable - It lists Shooting USA at 9AM EST today. I've flagged it for notificiation... Eehaah!

KMKeller beat me to the punch. I agree something is rotten. At some point this may have been a reality, but it is obvious that that isn't the case now. Too bad Mr. Scoutten hasn't come in to set the record straight.

Yeah, I was disapointed too. TiVo said Sporting USA so I figured it would be Jim. Instead it was some boring guy taling about really expensive shotguns that only hold 2 rounds. BOR-ING.

I emailed OLN about this awhile back and they sent back an email stating that it would be on at 8:00CST 2 August.

I copied their reply and emailed them again today asking for an explanation...

It wouldn't hurt for more people to email OLN. Regardless of the situation, I think it would be good for OLN to realize that a lot of people are looking forward to the premier of this show.

For months I have been hearing of a new show called Shooting USA hosted by Jim Scoutten. Mr. Scoutten said that the show would debut on Aug. 2nd. TV guide has it listed for 8:00AM CST Saturday Aug. 2, 2003. Alas this was not what was aired. What is the status of this program. Are there any more programs related to the shooting sports that are scheduled in the future?

Negative on any type of response from OLN. I believe this is a whole truck load of manure:cuss: OLN was one of the reasons that I went with cable over a dish. If this is the way they treat thier viewers, looks like I may have a saucer on my roof real soon. Anyone heard from Jim Scoutten?

Ok folks, placed a phone call to Jim Scoutten and reached him. Real nice guy. The show is coming, along with other associated good things/changes. The programming schedules for the cable and satellite program guides are done months in advance, so there was no opportunity to change it and let people know that the show was postponed

There is no timeline released at current but info will be coming shortly. Jim will be using the email update distribution associated with the website at http://www.shootingusa.com/SIGN_UP/sign_up.html to disseminate info, so sign up to get news.

Jim has assured me that what's coming will be worth the wait.

Thanks for the heads up.

My beef is not so much with Mr. Scoutten but more with OLN for not responding to my e-mail. They still may. I admittedly do not know what is going on in thier offices. If it is anything like the office where I work, sending an e-mail can require a work order, a P.O., and a blessing fom God. So, I'll just wait and see.
