Well thanks to a recommendation from Rugerfreak, I picked up my T3 (blued synthetic) 338 win mag today, put a Leupold VX-1 on it and headed to the range.
The gun only weighs 7 lbs with scope, so recoil was stout but not as bad as my marlin 450. Altogether not unpleasant but the shoulders a little stiff, partially due to the brenneke slugs I threw downrange afterwards.
Well the gun is beautiful, trigger is very good, should be excelent with some break in.
Didn't shoot off a very good rest, an old vest stuck on top of 4x4's but shot 1 1/4 groups using Rem 225 gr cor-locks with no problem.
Very happy with the purchase highly recommend the rifle.
