I picked up some Winchester Super-X 2-3/4" Magnum 00 buckshot (12 pellets). How does this stuff feel in a 7.5 lbs (empty) shotgun? Just curious, haven't been able to shoot some yet.

Feels fine, patterns poorly for me as compared to the same size of Federal premium plated. The 3" mag was a little more abusive, I spent the other night trying about 7 different buckshots out. BTW, I like recoil :D

Fly Navy,
I tend to get better patterns with the 9 shot version ( Win XB1200) , "tend" meaning guns are like...well got a mind of their own. :)
NavyJoe :D May I recommend for your "jaw -jarring , friggin'- train wreck " pleasure Win XB12LOO , 3 1/2 " stoked with 18 pellets of 00 buck. I tried these from a Mossy 835 Ultra mag. I'm told the experience is better "appreciated" from a 3 1/2" chamber O/U ...:p

If fit and form are OK, no prob. It'll tear a tyro a new one, so be forewarned.
12 pellet rarely patterns as well as 9 pellet, but YMMV, of course.
I suggest picking up a couple 5 packs and testing for both pattern and comfort. If satisified, buyamessmore.

Tyro, Davespeak for newbie, rookie, etc.
Gee, I oughta post a glossary, or stick to standard English...
