How much $ is a Remington Model 700

I just bought a Remington Model 700 with what looks like a pretty nice Pentax scope. I couldn't find the model of the scope printed anywhere but it does say 3 1/2x- 10x on it. I know nothing about rifles but I just liked the gun and bought it without much thought. From what I can tell on Remingtons website it is Remington Model BDL in 22-250. The gun is in really nice shape as well.

Can anyone give me a ball park figure what this gun and scope would be worth?

Thanks

400-450 or so. Used scopes, even the high dollar ones, don't retain value very well.

I'd probably be a bit more optimistic about the deal. Regardless, the Remington website would give you the retail price; Shotgun News ads would get you in the ballpark as to what a small dealer would pay. (Add handling and NICS cost to get toward your cost.)

Various distributors sell Pentax scopes; you can get pretty close. Scopes don't drop much in value if not hickeyed and boogered.

That rig oughta be a really good shooter as a varmint rifle.

Lemme get this right:

Guy walks into a gunshop, and without really knowing anything about rifles, BUYS a nice Remington 700 in .22-250 w/Pentax scope - - - JUST BECAUSE HE LIKES IT !!!

Hey, NashvilleGuy ! YOU are alright by me ! :D
(whatever the rifle/scope work out to, what you did is priceless)
Thank you from the bottom of my gun-lovin' heart. :)

Thats pretty good BusMaster =) It was from an individual and I think he paid like 800 for the scope, maybe I can find out which scope it actually is.
