Simple enough! You need an AK-47 to round out the collection - an SAR-1 would fit in there perfectly.

no 1911? for shame.

More SIGs. Poor lonely little guy just begging for some attention. He needs friends his own size.

You need a 1911 pattern pistol and a sniper rifle :-)

You need a small truckload of custom pieces-parts for the 10/22.

Tamara
August 2, 2003, 12:51 AM
You have:

A shotgun
A centerfire rifle
A rimfire rifle
A centerfire handgun

The obvious thing missing is:

A rimfire handgun.

That'll be $25 for the consulting fee, please. :D

A Beautiful Remington 700 bolt action with a good scope. Also it wouldn't hurt to pick up a revolver in .357 with at least a 3 to 4 inch barrel.

Okay, you need a lot more because as many of us have found out you never have enough! 1911, FAl, AK, and on and on!:D

1911 or an SAR1....flip a coin :)

A Garand or M1a?
Instead of a Rem 700, how about a 1903 Springfield, Mauser (I like the 6.5*55 Swedish myself) or an Enfield?
Didn't see any after-market optics (not that is necessarily a bad thing...)
You really ought to get a wheelgun. (If they're not techy enough for you, get a Mateba (http://www.mateba-arms.com/page2.html) )

You need a firearm manufactured by Heckler & Koch, GmbH of Oberndorf, Germany.

(Every "family" needs one..) ;)

hey FlyNavy-

I'm looking into getting an AR in the next year or so and I like the looks of yours. Would you mind posting the make/model/etc for your AR? Thanks in advance.

I'll second...or third...the recommendation for an AK.

I went the SA M-7 route...couldn't be happier.

I'll echo what KC suggested.

What I see missing is a scoped centerfire bolt action.

If you're on a budget, a Savage in .308win, 7mm Rem, .300Win, etc will fit the bill.
However, seeing that you have a nice Sig and AR-15 in the pic, you probably can go for a nice Remington 700 or Winchester M70 (no slight against Savage owners, just listing the "options").

So, get yourself a nice powerful centerfire with a good 3-9x40 scope and start punching paper at 300 yards.

and did i notice the definite lack of a BHP??

so many guns, so little time and money...

How about the next one that comes down the pike?

I had made the decision not to buy any more until the house thing was done, but ran across a High Standard military .22 pistol, and could not pass it up.

Happens.

I would have to agree, a good 1911 should be in everyones collection:D

Yes, I think Tamara is right. You could get a revolver in .22 lr like a nice Smith and Wesson.

So many good suggestions! Sorry for anyone that viewed the post and the picture was down, my server dumped last night, don't know why. I moved the picture to another server.

My AR is a home-built kind. The stripped lower receiver was a Rock River Arms, got it for $120. The rest of it is a parts kit from J&T Distributing. That was about $430. I think they go for $450 now. It was very well worth building it, I learned a lot about how it functioned, and I saved money too!

My family bears a resemblence to your family.

You need a good long range thirty caliber rifle - .308, 300 win mag, something like that. The Remington 700's are good; I recommend the LTR.

Then you need a . . . well, let's not get ahead of ourselves. Get an accurate bolt action rifle in a decent caliber for long range work.

Definitely a CZ:D

A collection is not a complete collection without a 30-30. Winchester or Marlin, whatever your brand preference but definitely a lever action.

lever action...

:D

oh, rimfire,,,my vote is the ruger mk II

or i did like that lightweight .22 x 8 shot S&W snubbie i tried recently,,,

sigh,,

Assuming you CCW, I'd get another pistol in case your primary breaks/is lost or stolen/is in for repairs.

It's likely going to be just an old Galil...

with a folding stock, flash suppressor, pistol-grip, capability of holding grenade-launcher, 32-round magazine...

did I mention the selector switch?

Oh, but then, you don't get to own it.:banghead:

BTW, I've got 16 days left.

Either a rimfire 22 revolver or pistol or a synthetic stock scoped bolt action rifle (think Remington 700 LTR).

4" .357, .22 pistol, 1911, AK, 1919, .50bmg (everyone needs a beltfed and a .50). That should set you up pretty good, you pick the order of purchases.

Nice guns - nice picture!

Next? Why, thanks for asking.

1) M14 short barrelled sniper rifle with nice glass
2) 1911-style pistol, how about a Valtro:

Extremely well-fit parts on on this here machine. Get one sold in the US, not Canada.

Ok, so what has caught my attention is a 1911, a Glock 19 or 23, M1, M14, and some surplus rifle (the Enfield I shot the other day was GREAT!). A FAL would be pretty sweet too.

Really, you are. Here I was saying to myself "No more guns for a while. I want to put a new processor in my 'puter to give it a jolt, and I want to replace my DVD player. Then you mention the J&T Distributing web site which reminds me of that lonely stripped receiver sitting here on my bookcase, along with most of a lower kit. I still need a buttstock assembly and then an upper to go with it. A buttstock assy would be slightly less than the cost of the processor or the DVD player. *whine*

Oh, and yeah, you need a good .22 sidearm. Pistol or revolver, either one will do. Better yet, one of each. :)
