I work in a place that does not allow firearms, but I keep a couple of cans
of Hornet Spray just in case I need some type of defensive weapon.

The stuff shoots about twenty feet and I'm thinking it's just as good as pepper spray if not better.

Did you happen to miss that statement on the back that talks about how it's a felony or whatever to use the product in a manner other than directed? I don't see that going so well in your favor in the courtroom. Hopefully you are just trolling.

I don't see that going so well in your favor in the courtroom. Starter fluid works great if used in some instances, and remember " it is better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
Always obey the law unless your life is in danger or face serious health risks, then do your best to stay healthy at the moment and worry later.

While I don't endorse the use of hornet spray as a defensive weapon, I think that the warning on the back is meant more towards those intending to use it offensively. I really doubt that a jury is going to get worked up about a victim spraying a perpetrator in the grill with hornet spray. I am certain that if the situations were reversed, a jury would be most unfavorable.

We've discussed this before and I believe that there was a clear distinction made between Mace and Peppersprays -which are designed to be 'usually' non-lethal nor causes permanent damage to eyes, sinuses, respiratory system and skin; and caustic & poisonous sprays & liquids clearly misused.

Even for 'defensive' purposes, I think how you carry and where you are at when used will determine how you will be treated by LEOs. If pepperspray is legally available in your area and you still go the route of hornetspray, ovencleaner, acids, etc. I do not believe that you have a valid argument.

What ever happened to hand grenades? It makes about as much sense as keeping hornet spray. Gee, for some, paranoia is a passtime... a passion. Do folks at work really not like you? Perhaps some inner reflection is in order - or use a different deoderant. As that great orator - and sage - Rodney King once said, "Can't we all just get along?".

Trying to be happy...
