It's my understanding the owner shut down the business. Do a search here (use Google) and I think you'll find some comments about it.

With the large increase in lead prices, several cast bullet companies have shut their doors. It's affecting shot makers as well. Northwest Shot has to pay roughly $34.00 for enough lead to make a 25 pound bag of shot, and then turn it into shot, and still make enough money to keep the doors open. I think we're going to be seeing more small casting companies closing down in the near future.
Hope this helps.

That is sad indeed! I tried to get some wheelweights from my friend who works at our local Wal-mart autoshop and he said they are giving them for recycling to the battery guys.
Aaaargh!

ninja45,
They aren't actually "giving" them to the battery guys. Most tire shops have an agreement that they will sell their tire weights to the battery company when they deliver batteries. This does two things. It allows the battery company to acquire a supply of lead for their product, and the truck doesn't go back empty. It's just making it hard on bullet casters, but good for the tire and battery companies. In my area, the Exide Battery Company buys just about all the wheel weights. In fact, Berry's Bullets buys some of their lead from Exide, since they are also in the lead refining business.
Hope this helps.
