not a significant problem, but things aren't quite right.
After shooting about 300 rounds through my 1972 Smith #36, the cylinder doesn't rotate as freely when it's open. It feels like it's binding just a bit. I'm not sure, but it appears to be slightly dragging against the edge of the frame (where the small, lower protrusion is cast).
I've cleaned it thoroughly after each range trip, so I'm certain it's cleaned and lubed.
I understand how metal tolerances can vary with heat and pressure, but why do you think the cylinder has begin to turn less freely?
