Ruger Mini14 20rd mags

I heard a rumor that Ruger is going to start selling them to the general public...can anyone who is at Shot 2008 confirm?

No. not according to the guy I spoke to at Ruger last week, no factory mags for the general unwashed, unless you want to buy the NRA Mini-14.

So now the 20 round mags are available from ruger, just at $1035 a piece.

I like ruger products but their business sense is just horrible. If they would start selling factory mags at $25 to 30 a piece they could make a killing.

Remember to keep it on the high road...Ruger is under new management they have stated that they were going to make some changes.

Ruger doesn't advertise 20rd mags for sale, but there are lots of places that sell them to anyone. Sadly, they cost $49-$59/ea.

<shrug>

This is one case where ProMags are actually a reasonable alternative, especially when updated with Riuger followers. Sure beats trying to figure out how to deal with the Ruger mentality.

According to gunblast.com guru Jeff Quinn, they are going to make them available.

That sounds like the warranty USA brand magazines had.

Email from Ruger today, they are not selling the mags separately till the production run is done on the NRA model. Unknown after that.
