So I am back into the .308 autorifle game. My impressions of it so far are favorable. Finish is good, everything appears to function the way it is supposed to. Only criticism so far is the same as SteyrAUG's, the trigger group/pistol grip assembly is ever so slightly loose. Anybody know the proper way to shim it?
Gosh, I'm so happy that I can, once again, play both sides of the .223 vs .308 micturating contests!!!

A little fore-aft movement is pretty normal. Up-down is bad ju-ju.

It is fore-aft movement, not up-down.

Took the PTR-91 out for a function test yesterday. Ran through 3 magazines (60 rounds) of surplus 7.62 NATO with no malfs of any kind. Did not formally fire for groups or from the bench due to time constraints Off-hand groups informally fired at a paper plate indicate that the sights are properly regulated and the gun is capable of an interesting level of accurtacy.

Nice looking rifles and a slick ad campaign, but the gun has quality control issues. It's always best to let them sort themselves out for awhile first.

But hey....it's a 7.62X51! Whooda thunk it?
