I have the 380. I don't have the Compact .45, but I do have the Compact 9mm. It is the same size with the same controls.

I. LOVE. THEM.

Inexpensive. Accurate. Easy to operate. Easy to carry.

I have two, the BT380 and the BT380CC. With over 2,000 rounds reliably through the BT380 I can say that it is one of my favorites out of my collection. The CC is new and I need to get to the range sometime soon and break it in.

It is a less expensive gun and some small percentage have had some problems, but overall I believe that most people, like myself, have been happy with their Bersas.

Love my Bersa Thunder 380. Never a problem and very accurate. I can't believe they are priced so low.

Love my Bersa 45. Takes all ammo I feed it. Only thing I would change about it is the DA/SA mode trigger. I HATE the DA first shot, trigger is too far forward for me. And the thumb safety is also the decocker, so you can't carry cocked and locked like a 1911, only DA mode and locked (or unlocked). Kind of dumb. A lot of carry guns that fire DA mode HAVE no manual safeties! You can always thumb the hammer back to get into SA mode, but I'd rather not have to. Once in SA mode, the gun really shines.

Lots of very positive comments about the .380; the price is right as well.

Bersa Thunder is a sweet gun for an incredibly low price. It's very rare to find negative comments about them.

My only complaint is that I don't like the magazine disconnect safety (although there are instuctions on the internet to disable this).

I've bought 2 within the last two months or so, first the .380, then the UC 9 and both have been wonderful. I had one FTF with the .380 while doing a rapid fire string, but nothing since. They are seriously under-rated and under-priced, (but ssshhhhhh about that) Here's pics of mine:

I've got the Bersa Thunder 380 and I really love it. Got about 300 rounds through it without a hitch. My son has mine now as his Smith is in the shop, and I think he's starting to think about getting one too. I'm seriously looking at the 380 plus also. Almost bought one this past weekend but a Taurus 24/7 came home with me instead.

Bought the wife a Thunder 380 to introduce her to autos after the .38 revolver we bought her was very inaccurate. Maybe we just couldn't shoot worth a damn, I don't know but I'm glad we made the switch.

For the $$ I don't think you can do better than the Bersa's. The T380 is the only one I have any experience with but I'd give it 4.5 stars outa 5. The one we have has a stiff safety but I'm working on that and it'll loosen up eventually. Turns out it was a good choice for the wife. The recoil spring isn't too stiff so she isn't intimidated by the thing. It shoots really well for a short barreled gun and it's easy to disassemble and clean. Good quality accurate gun for a fair price, what's not to like.

I have 2 Thunder .380's (for 9 years now). One sitting here on the desk with it's companion Glock 26 in front of me here at the hotel I am staying in. I always have one of the Bersa's with me where ever I go at the very least. Both are totally reliable. Last week the Glock 26 developed a problem extracting while I was on the road, and I was very glad to have the Thunder .380 with me as a back up. I highly recomend the Thunder .380!

Bersas are reliable, inexpensive pistols. I have three Thunder 9s and I love them. The triggers smooth out very nicely after some rounds through. My Bersas have some of the best triggers out of all my pistols.
I CCW a Bersa 9mm everyday.

I used to carry either my Bersa Thunder 9 Ultra Compact or my Bersa Thunder 380. This week I started carrying both in OWB holsters. The Thunder 9 UC is on my strong side, and the Thunder 380 is positioned for crossdraw on the other hip.

These things are just built solidly. I have an HS2000 (same as Springfield XD9 Service Model), and I still prefer my Bersas for daily carry.

I have had a BT 380 for 18 months and have approximately 800 flawless rounds through it. It's not a fussy eater. Nice balance, weight and caliber combination. Shoots straight and a great $$ value.
I put the extended magazine on it and it is one of my truck guns.

I have the Thunder 380 CC. Great for carry, not much of a range toy.

I will take a new Ed Brown Kobra carry in blue. In exchange for my Thunder with custom grips . That seems about fair price.
