A load that everybody should like...

I was at the Georgia Arms table at the last show, picking up ammo for my .38 Super, when I noticed that they load a 147gr JHP at a nominal 1200fps.
Wow, a load that's all nice and fast for the velocity crowd and all ate up with sectional density to keep the deep penetration folks happy. Has anybody tested this thing to see if it slaughters jello as efficiently as I think it would?

Tonight, a local woman walked into a Jello factory and mercilessly slaughtered gallons of helpless Jello, all contained in vats making the helpless Jello completely immobile. One man commented "It's burst into flames....Get out of the way, please, oh my, this is terrible, oh my, get out of the way, please...Oh, the humanity...." as he ran away from the tragic slaying.
Officals have not released any information on this tragic event. A spokesperson for the MMM said that special Jello-shredding rounds were used, and once again proves that handguns are eeeeevvvvvviiiilllllllll...... She closed with the following: "Think of the cchhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiilllllllllllllllllddddddddddrrrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeeeeeennnnnnnnnn!!!!
Sorry, it seemed funny at the time...:neener:

Oh sure, kill the Jello! That's the sort of inhumane, cold blooded killing that gives all gun owners a bad name. What's next? Blasting the chocolate pudding? When will it all stop?

When will it all stop?
When the chocolate Häagen-Dazs shoots back.

I know for a fact that Jello was out to get that woman. She was acting in self defence. I know this for a fact because the fruit cocktail cans in my kitchen cabinet have been plotting against me. Tonight, after they've gone to sleep, I'm going into my kitchen and get them first. Maybe that will make the voices stop.

No no Ky Larry, she said:Has anybody tested this thing to see if it slaughters jello as efficiently as I think it would? which means that she had intent on slaughtering the poor helpless jello. Please, for the love of all that is Holy, condemn these horrible MERCILESS JELLO-KILLING BULLETS and those that advocate their use! Think of the jeellloooo....err, the cccchhhhiiiillllddddreeeennnnnnn....
Oh my, what did I start?:o :neener: Seriously, does anyone know about the rounds that Tamera is asking about?

I dont know nothin about killin' no Jello but I do know that Super is great defense cartridge when loaded properly.
Its probably really close to .357 mag. I know the bullet weights and velocity match up pretty close. Some of the Open IPSC guys really push that 125 bullet at amazing speeds.
(I am a limited IPSC guy, we slow the big 180 .40 bullet WAY down.)

You guys keep on making fun of ballistic gelatin tests, but wait until you face a block of angry, rabid, crack addicted, heroin hyped jello, then you'll be sorry.:neener:

With or without denim? If clothed, how many layers of denim.:)
Tamara, seriously GA makes good stuff, I agree. I have shot a 147 gr handload IIRC chrono'd at ~1100. I have no idea of the recipe. It was a bit "thumpy" from a P-11, I liked and didn't bother me, some whined.(same ones that whine about 45ACP) :scrutiny: I also used it out of a STI ...sweet. Using the offical "shoot dirt/mud test" I subscribe to- the expansion was better from the longer tube. Still wouldn't want to face it out of a P-11 tho'.
This load shown on-line yet? Well I guess I could look huh?
Thanks.
Edit: looked,nope.

:o duh :o
You did say 38 super now that I look at original post. I had 9mm on the brain, I'm older than you... and...and my glasses were dirty. ain't buying it huh? .
Well that handload was interesting just the same. Darn, I wish GA would do a 9x23.
Well when you do shoot those 38 Supers, and post a report- throw a book at me and wake me up first.
I'll admit I'm not as smart as some,(you for instance) but usually not that dumb either. sheesh
