Need help with a rifle

I need help identifying and determining the value of this rifle. It is a Musgrave and sons and also has rep van suid afrika on it. It is a 270 cal.

It sounds like you have it identified already. Musgrave is/was a South African manufacturer. Pretty nice rifles, Mauser action, but nothing extrodinary. Google it and you will find some info.

Looks like a safe queen (a gun that was stored and not very worn)...Very Pretty!

When I googled it I didn't find much info on it. I know it was made between 1971-76. There aren't any on gunbroker, auction arms, or guns America. Any idea on value?

The rifle looks to be the "Premier" model (upgrade from the basic "Valiant" model) and appears to be in at least 98 % condition (from the photo). The rifle was manufactured from 1971 to around 1976. In the condition as it appears, it should fetch upwards of $450.00(low) to $550.00(high). A very nice, Mauser-inspired, bolt-action rifle.
