I recently picked up a shotgun I have wanted for a while. It is a 12 gauge, 3" 870 Express turkey gun with the 21" vent rib, remchoke barrel. It has the standard, laminate wood stock. I have not shot it yet, but it does seem heavy. Is any of you are familiar with this gun, do they have a weight in the stock? It seems easier to ask than to start taking the recoil pad off. Thanks in advance.

No weight in the stock.

You have a very fine versatile shotgun there. Pick up a couple choke tubes and lots of ammo. Enjoy....

I totally agree. I have a buddy that has had one in his truck for many years. I have wanted one for rabbit/squirrel hunting for a while, but just could not justify having one. I am typically a one shotgun kind of guy, as I am much better when I am not switching back and forth. I hope to get a few squirrels with it before season is over.
