It was said on a CBS Sixty Minutes appearance in 1995. I don't think she's changed her mind.

I think it was more in the context of the '94 Assault Weapons Ban. She wanted total confiscation of them, not just a halt to production, importation, sales, etc.

Don't forget to remind your friends that then Mayor Fineswine killed a man in Civic Center Park. While being driven in her limo, Mayor Fineswine witnesses a man keel over in the park.
