It was perfect today so I went shooting at Thunder Range along FM 1314, Conroe, Texas. I brought along the Brenneke KO 2. 75 inch slugs and WInchester HP slugs from Walmart. Out of the two the Winchester grouped the best. I got a two inch spread at 50 yds while the Brenneke was 4.5 inch spread.
Then using the WInchester 00 BK 9 pellets , i fired at 7 yds , 10 yds and finally 17 yds. All pellets grouped very well . I did not shoot at 25 yds , run out of ammo.
6 inch group at 7 yds, wad went on the rt upper corner
6 inch grp at 10 yds
11 in at 17 yds.
I only used one target and encircled the pattern in each distance.
Overall a very good Sunday afternoon.
As for the recoil it wasnt too bad considering this is my first on 12 G. I find the rubber buttpad absorbs most of it which is good. Im used to shooting my Mosin 44 carbine in 54 R and that thing kicks and hurts more. The metal plate hits the shoulder and leaving a bruise.
