WOW! I never really gave them much consideration mainly because the looks didn't appeal to me and the price. People that own them keep ranting and raving about these guns. Well I handled on for the first time today at the gun show. Even with out firing one shot I am in lust. It just melted in my hand. The squeeze cocker thingy didn't even bother me like I thought. If anything it seems to ensure that you have a firm hold on the gun. After firing MP-5, G-36, and now fondling the P7M8, I am becoming an HK convert. I still don't like the USP series because they are just too fat for me, but if they could trim it down some.

BTW is $900 a fair price for a P7M8. Sorry no details other that the model. It did look like it was in good shape. Don't know about slide muvement because of the stupid wire ties.

No, $900 is a horrible price...you should E-Mail me contact information for the seller, so I can be sure such a specimen is taken off the market as soon as possible... ;)

They list for like $1400 NIB, dealer prices average $1000-1200 in my parts, the few dealers that can get them anyways. I'd be all over that one myself, just 'cause I want a P7 sooooooo badly, and the cheapest I've seen one (granted, NIB) was $1195 at Eastman's Gun Show back in June.

$900 is about ballpark for a used P7M8 in very good shape. For a refurb, it's a bit high, as those can be had for $800-ish in many places.

Yes, they're that good. Yes, they're worth that much. Get one, and you'll find that it makes all your other carry guns seem inadequate...

If the money would have been in the bank that gun would have come home with me. I would be sleeping on the couch for a long time, but it worth the couch time. I was that impressed with this gun. I love my 1911 and will never give it up, but I think I am more impressed with the P7 than with any other gun.

I passed up a sweet deal about 2 months ago. Still kicking myself for it. A dealer friend of mine promised to have something extra special at a local gunshow. Well, it was. An unfired P7M13 with 2 factory 13 round magazines. Apparently a friend of his was unloading his collection. He told me I could get it for $1200. All the documentation was there as was the original box. Of course, I didn't have that much cash (I was still paying down a Kimber TLE) so I passed on it. I guess I could have used my credit card, but I'm deep enough as it is. He had sold it by the next show.

Probably need to ask that over at www.hkpro.com in the "boards" section. Lot of knowledgable people over there. I'm sure somebody has put together a page that will answer your question.

There was a P7M10 that was .40 SW IIRC.
The P7M8 and P7M13 you already know about.

I don't know much about them. If I start reading up on them, I'll end up buying one. Just about every year H&K tries to stimulate more interest in these guns by threatening to discontinue them.

I was just about over my P7M8 lament.. In the same case as the Kimber Classic Series I that I DID buy, was a used P7M8 for $799.00.. This was early 2000...

I have owned three.They are unique and accurate,but so are some less expensive guns.They DO get hot after some time at the range.The truth of the matter is: many people shoot lights out with $250-350 guns,while I am an average shooter with $$$$ guns.

I, like tracer, have owned three ... two P7M8s and a P7PSP. I am also an average shooter with any gun and could not shoot the P7M8s very well. I sold off the M8s. I wish I had held onto both because the prices are way up from when I purchased them (I think 1st was $799 used and 2nd was a refurb for $650). I only purchased the PSP late last year because it was as-new (no box) for an awsome price that I couldn't pass up. I have yet to shoot it.

My P7M8 is one of my all time favorite guns and would be one of the last 2 I would ever sell. $900 is a pretty good price these days.
