Seeker_two was mean to me ( ;) ) and showed me a handgun that looks very appealing, the Savage Arms "Striker" series.

I'm especially interested in their .17 HMR model (503FSS).

Anybody have an experience/knowledge of .17 HMR in handguns, or of these Savage Arms guns in particular?

Thanks

I have the .22lr model, I mounted a red dot on it.
Its very accurate, but the trigger leaves alot to be desired.
The left hand bolt is nice.

I would think that the .17 would exhibit similar if not better accuracy, and might make an excellent Mini Varmint rifle, with a scope.

Buy it you cant go wrong, you can always get a rifle basix trigger for it for about $65 It allows you to have a 3lb trigger that is adjustible down to 8 ounces!!!!!
