I just moved to Aurora, CO and am trying to get back into shooting. If anyone could fill me in regarding places to shoot/practice/compete in the area, or would be interested in a shooting partner, let me know. Car-pooling to matches is always helpful as well!

There's a good gun show at the Merchandise Mart I-25 & 58th every six weeks or so. Should be able to find good info there.

Fireing line indoor range off I-225 around Alameda or so. You can see if from South bound lanes

Cherry creek gun club at the Cherry Creek state park

Aurora Gun club I-70 and Gunclub road just past E470 east of town

Golden Gun club Watkins Road east of AGC Exit 295

Leadvalleyrange.com another 40 miles past GGC, but a nice place to shoot.

wildlifehunters.com more of a prairie dog shooting club, but they also shoot pistols etc.

Hope this helps. Matches every weekend around the area.

Thanks guys, that puts some IDPA and USPSA matches on my schedule if nothing else. Biggest problem is stuff like practicing, and then chronoing loads, and with everything being either indoor ranges, or else private clubs (e.g., Aurora, Cherry Creek, Golden, etc. with full memberships and waiting lists) its tough to find places to work hard and improve on a regular basis. Finding a place to chrono has been the toughest so far, with just nothing opening up. The Tanner gun shows on I-25 and 58th, as you mentioned, rnr4me, might be a good place to find info as well, I'll check those out.

Thanks for the links, those can be difficult to track down sometimes.

Thanks Zak, didn't know about that one. Its only two miles from my house, so easy to access. I'll definitely get going there.
